Sheryl Berentz.  My Husband, John,  and I moved to the White Mountains after retirement from Law Enforcement careers in 1994. We have always loved this area and are so glad that our Lord provided the means for us to live here. I accepted the Lord as a child, but failed to “walk the walk” for many years. August 29, 2008 I committed to fully trust and surrender my life to the Lord. It was a “second chance” and I am so thankful God never gave up on me!

Loving Jesus and serving Him is so awesome. God provided an opportunity for me, a sinner, to praise Him with music and songs.  I am so thankful for the opportunities He has given me to share worship with others. About August of 2022,  Pastor Jim Powell, of New Hope Church recommended me to Pastor Byron Brown as a worship singer where I joined others at the White Mountain Truth Rally in Vernon Arizona to share worship, praise & songs. I began to play and sing occasionally at The Why Church as well. I was invited to lead worship at the “Y” and accepted as an interim worship leader.  It has been a humbling privilege to serve and  share worship with the congregation at the “Y” as we praise & worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We gather to study God’s word, sing hymns fellowship and lift up each other in prayer. We are a small but dynamic family of believers and I am privileged to join with others at the “Y” Church as part of the body of Christ.
